About ADEC
Analog Design Evolution Collaborative, ADEC, is an initiative to connect industry professionals and students. Our goal is to explore new avenues in analog IC/systems design and combine theoretical insights with practical design approaches. Also, Analog IC/systems design is often considered part ’art,’ and through collaboration, we aim to put method to this art, helping our students learn and contribute in a more structured and meaningful way.
Lastly, IIIT-Bangalore has expertise in different fields, and we also hope to collaborate with other functions and experts at IIIT, from Digital-CMOS to Embedded Systems to Machine Learning. We hope to collaborate meaningfully to contribute to the field.

ADEC Planning
ADEC is more than just presentations. It is a foundation we are setting for Analog Design Research, Collaboration and Contributions. For the first ADEC Session from January, 2025 to June, 2025, here is the plan:
-
Phase 1: 5-8 Weeks – Talks by Industry Experts on fundamentals and practical concerns.
-
Phase 2: 4 Weeks – Students Research Presentations, feedback and discussion
-
Phase 3: 1-2 Weeks – Projects Brainstorming for the future and recalibration
Why Join or Present at ADEC
Presenting or joining ADEC provides unique opportunities for both industry professionals and students:
- Intercept students earlier than the graduate level and inspire them.
- Interact and possibly mentor to advance the field.
- Participate in student research project presentations and provide your feedback.
Logistics
Frequency of Talks
ADEC will host weekly or biweekly sessions, depending on speaker availability
Speakers
Industry professionals and experts from the field of analog IC/systems design or allied fields are invited to present.
Format
Each session will feature a 60-minute talk, followed by a short exercise or Q&A session.
Time and Platform
Talks will be scheduled on a day that works for the presenter, and the session can be joined virtually via Zoom.
For Presenters
We request industry professionals/University experts to share their knowledge with our students:
- Please pick a topic that connects theory with practical analog IC/systems design. We understand the confidentiality at your workplace. So, any fundamental small, insightful topic is good!
- Please schedule your talk by emailing us at sakshi.arora@iiitb.ac.in.
- Join the session in person or via Zoom. We will share the link with all ADEC participants.
- Optionally, mentor interested students after the session
Resources
All Industry/University participants gain access to a shared GitHub repository with session materials, including slides and recordings.
